I am an Assistant Professor in Philosophy of Neuroscience at the Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience group, Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences. I am also affiliated to the Institute for Advanced Study.
In my research, I aim to advance cognitive neuroscience research as well as its relevance for society by improving the interpretation and translation of experimental findings.
Before I worked as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies of Radboud University, Nijmegen, and as a post-doctoral researcher and senior lecturer in Philosophy of neuroscience at the Department of Psychology and Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Amsterdam. I obtained my PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior, Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging in Nijmegen in 2016.
