What researchers at the IAS all have in common is an inquisitive, creative mind, and an enormous drive to work on the big challenges that mankind faces in science and society. In their pursuit of new knowledge they are not afraid to colour outside the lines. Researchers from the University of Amsterdam form the core in our activitities, contributing to and benefitting from the IAS in various ways. But we also actively involve renowned researchers and talented early-career scholars from other universities and research institutes.
