This workshop focuses on the question of how to address declining vaccination rates. The aim is to gain a thorough understanding of the factors involved, including differences between groups, and to reflect on whether current research at RIVM is sufficiently focused.

Objectives of the workshop:

  • Applying complex systems methods to explore causes and possible solutions for declining vaccination rates.
  • Exchange of ideas and perspectives between different substantive and methodological disciplines and organisations.

We will reflect on:

  • What RIVM is already doing regarding vaccination rates
  • What gaps exist in knowledge? Are we focusing on the right things?
  • Where should we best allocate scarce resources? What falls within or beyond our sphere of influence?
  • Identifying opportunities for follow-up research and collaboration between RIVM and IAS.
