Seminar series, organised by the UvA Science and Philosophy Interfaculty Network
Philosophy of science naturally connects many disciplines, since it reflects on scientific practices across fields: from general issues such as causal inference, scientific realism, and epistemic diversity to domain-specific questions in the philosophy of physics, biology, or psychology.
At the UvA, colleagues working on these topics are spread across different departments, and not everyone who engages with them identifies primarily as a philosopher of science. You might think of yourself first as an anthropologist, political scientist, mathematician, or something else, while your work still addresses how scientific knowledge is produced, justified, and used.
This event is meant to bring all of us together. If any of this resonates with your work or interests, you are warmly invited to join!
