The Early-career Network for AI, Culture & Society (ENACTS) provides a platform for researchers to engage with AI from a diversity of perspectives, enabling the much-called-for but rarely practiced interdisciplinarity. By bringing together scholars who might not otherwise meet, ENACTS fosters theoretical and methodological exchanges. Early-career researchers benefit from this environment by building new relationships, sharing experiences, and establishing fresh collaborations. The network is not only a space for analysing the role of AI in society but also for actively shaping/enacting alternative approaches to AI, such as striving towards justice, accountability, and fairness.
During this kick-off event, we will hear from five early-career researchers across different Dutch universities and representing different disciplinary orientations, each presenting their current research related to AI, Culture & Society. The workshop will then provide space for participants to connect with one another. Finally, the workshop features a collective discussion about future plans for ENACTS, allowing us to collectively shape the future direction of the network.
This is an invitation-only event.
