This event will introduce the new research priority area of the UvA, 'Shaping Interfaces Between Science and the Public'. They will present the team, their objectives, and the themes and topics that the RPA will explore. They will then open a dialogue to explore collaboration and ways to connect research with societal interactions, with the aim of broadening the research community. Many researchers at the UvA are working on similar themes, and they cordially invite you to explore potential synergies.
The RPA is a collaboration between the faculties of Humanities, Law, Science, Social and Behavioural Sciences, and the Amsterdam UMC. Shaping Interfaces Between Science and the Public brings together UvA methodologists and philosophers of science and technology from diverse fields, including psychiatry and mental health, law, and the digital humanities. The researchers involved are renowned experts with extensive experience in policy advice-making and public engagement.
From 2 February 2026 on, 'Shaping Interfaces Between Science and the Public' will open the doors every Monday from 13:00 at IAS.
