Event organised by POLDER
In an increasingly interconnected world, complex systems—from ecosystems and economies to communities and governance structures—are under increasing pressure. How can these systems maintain their resilience in the face of disruption? Bringing together scholars from the fields of ecology, social science and policy, this event will explore the mechanisms that promote stability and adaptation or lead to collapse.
Through a series of talks and participatory group discussions, participants will explore critical questions about resilience: What makes a system resilient? How do different disciplines approach resilience? And how can we translate these insights into actionable strategies? This event is an invitation to rethink resilience in complex systems.
