What do we consider to be psychological phenomena; those processes or features of behaviour, emotion, and cognition that psychological science should (eventually) be able to explain? How can we characterise these phenomena? How do we identify them? And how should we represent and store them?

During this one-day workshop, a group of psychologists and philosophers will get together to work on these questions. The Theory Methods Lab from the UvA and Jim Woodward have invited a select number of scientists to  work on this topic. The workshop will consist of discussing current perspectives on the definition of phenomenon in empirical research and figuring out how to characterize, identify, and store information on psychological phenomena.
