IAS is happy to welcome Robert Axtell from June 13th – June 24th. During his visit he will be delivering a number of lectures on a range of topics.

Rob Axtell leads the Center for Social Complexity at Geoerge Mason Univeristy (Fairfax, Virginia, USA) and is an External Professor at the Santa Fe Institute (Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA). Rob works at the intersection of economics, behavioral game theory, and agent-based models. His has a broad set of interests related, including complexity economics and the application of agent-based models in policy.

On the 15th of June he will give a lecture at IAS titled: "Agent-based modelling in economics and finance: past, present and future". IAS hopes to establish long term collaborations with Prof Axtell in the areas of agent-based models, complexity economics and policy.
