Modern AI-systems seem to be getting smarter and smarter. However, the ability to solve analogies and perform abstractions is hotly debated (e.g., Body is to feet as tree is to ?; or more abstractly: Paper is to scissors as education is to ?). In this meeting experts come together to discuss the state-of-the art in AI's ability to create abstractions and solve analogies. We look to the future of whether and how human-like abstract and analogical reasoning could become possible in these machines.
