Practitioners, government officials, and researchers at the leading edge of climate finance tracking and reporting will come together to explore key topics in this space, including the tracking of both public and private climate finance, insights from contributor and recipient countries, and critical perspectives on the current state of climate finance tracking. 

This workshop is organized by the ClimateFiGS (Understanding the Allocation of Climate Finance in the Global South) project at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), a five-year initiative funded by the European Research Council. Additional support for this workshop is provided by the ENLENS research priority area of the UvA. We aim to engage key stakeholders in meaningful discussions about climate finance tracking and reporting. The goals are to inform future research, foster collaborations, and create spaces for knowledge sharing that drive practical solutions. An edited version of the proceedings will be made publicly available to ensure wider access to the insights from the workshop.

Panels and roundtable discussions will be organized around four themes: tracking public climate finance, tracking private climate finance, insights from contributor and recipient countries, and critical perspectives on the current state of climate finance tracking.
