Prof. Jim Woodward is a renowned philosopher of science, contributing to debates on causation, explanation, and modelling in the sciences. On 12 May he will visit IAS to participate in a seminar on his work.

On the occasion of Prof. Woodward’s visit in Amsterdam, we hold a seminar on his work (published and in progress), featuring an introductory presentation by him, and followed by commentaries given by Dr Jolien Franken and Dr Dingmar van Eck. The discussion will be chaired by Dr Noah van Dongen. Registered participants will receive a few days in advance the papers to read in preparation to the meeting.
