I work on logic, probability, and causality, especially on topics at the border between cognitive science, philosophy, and computer science. One major project is on the logic of causation, with applications to problems in causal inference and machine learning.
In this program we are excited to bring together several different strands of work that combine cutting-edge logic research with important recent developments in AI. One project that I am especially excited about concerns learning causal abstractions of deep learning models, a project that involves both theoretical work and applied work.
