What

As part of the ACOI’s annual field day, the AI, Media & Democracy Lab is organising an interactive session centred mainly around our report, 'Generative AI and Democracy: Risks and Opportunities', which we wrote at the invitation of the Council of Europe. The session will include a short presentation of one or two other lab projects, a brief introduction to the lab, and an in-depth discussion on the themes from the report.

Who

Members of the Advisory Board on Public Access and Information Management (ACOI) and researchers from the AI, Media & Democracy Lab, including co-director Prof. Natali Helberger.

Why

The ACOI holds an annual inspiration day for its members focused on the long-term direction of the board. The themes in our Council of Europe report, including AI’s role in public information, democratic processes, and transparency, connect directly to that agenda.

This is an invite-only event.
