The Institute for Advanced Study is honored to announce that Nobel Laureate Alvin Roth has accepted to join the Board of Trustees.
Professor Alvin Roth works in the areas of game theory, experimental economics and market design. He is the Craig and Susan McCaw Professor of Economics at Stanford University and the Gund Professor of Economics and Business Administration Emeritus at Harvard. In 2012, Roth shared the Nobel Prize in Economics. In 2014, he received an honorary doctorate of the University of Amsterdam.
With the involvement of professor Roth the IAS has strengthened its Board of Trustees with a highly esteemed scientist, which is of crucial importance given the Board’s role in building a credible and authoritative position of the institute between science and society.
