Simulation-based Science @UvA continues in 2018-2019
With much pleasure we announce that the UvA Simulation-based Science community will continue to meet regularly at the IAS in the academic year 2018-2019. This year we will organise five thematic meetings, besides the weekly club gatherings.
Spread across all UvA faculties a substantial number of researchers use various computational modelling and simulation methods. To stimulate the exchange of knowledge and development of new skills and techniques we bring them together on a regular basis, creating an active cross-faculty network.
This year we will organise five thematic meetings on the following topics: Agent-based Modelling II; Particle-based Modelling; Stochastic Modelling; Emergence, Resilience & Tipping Points; High Performance Computing.
The Friday weekly SbS@UvA club will start again on October 12th. In these informal gatherings you can bring your issues to discuss, help others to find solutions for their projects, exchange ideas and meet new people.
